INTENDED RESULTS Partnership
Fort Worth, TX, August, 2009
DeYoung Consulting Inc. is pleased to announce a new partnership with Cumberland Presbyterian Children's Home to develop and maintain an outcomes system for measuring program effectiveness. The INTENDED RESULTS outcomes model developed by Dr. Mark DeYoung will serve as a framework for collecting and analyzing data. The partnership will officially begin on October 1, 2009.
There are three primary domains of focus in the INTENDED RESULTS system - Program Purpose, Program Performance, and Consumer Satisfaction. The program can be customized to fit the unique individual needs of any participating agency. "There are no 'cookie cutter' models used with INTENDED RESULTS. Agencies really appreciate the flexibility," says Dr. Mark DeYoung. The INTENDED RESULTS system has been in use with Christ's Haven for Children in Keller, TX since 2005. Outcomes from the program have proved an effective tool for communicating program effectiveness.

Dr. Mark DeYoung has several years experience serving children and their families in a variety of settings. His energies have been directed not only towards direct services of children and families but providing leadership in administrative functions of childcare programs. His training as a family therapist gives him skills for assessing systemic functioning and providing suggested intervention for enhancing system function. He has served as a Child Care Administrator in two agencies in TX. He believes strongly in the need to demonstrate program effectiveness through the use of outcomes. This activity by an organization develops high internal and external morale (useful for development). Many of the components of this project have been used successfully in other settings. Current developments in childcare have resulted in an increased emphasis on outcomes. Licensing agencies are beginning to consider such information as indicators of quality programs.
