Mark DeYoung is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over twenty-five years experience counseling and helping families and children. His BA is in Human Resources, and Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. He completed his PhD in Child Development in the spring of 2008. His dissertation was titled, "Attachment Phenomena in Foster Families: Exploring Contributions from Foster Parents’ Early Attachment Experiences,” and focused on the role of attachment in foster families. He currently provides In-Home counseling services for families in the Fort Worth region of North Texas. His private practice includes the following counseling services: Marriage Therapy, Family Therapy, Foster family therapy, Adoption work, Parenting support and coaching. He is the author of Revolutionary Marriage: How to Have a Marriage that Changes the World. He has served for over three years as a school board Vice-President. He currently serves on the board for the Keller Counselors Association. He has provided training in a variety of environments, including professional seminars for churches, schools, and child care facilities. He is a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He is a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider. |

1. Individual, Marital and Family Therapy - The In Home Family Therapist
Dr. Mark DeYoung is Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Texas. He has been a counselor since 1995. Dr. DeYoung is a dynamic family therapist who has pioneered therapy delivery methods in many unique environments. He has served in many capacities including substance abuse treatment, foster care, adoptions, marriage intensives, church and organizational consulting, missionary families (locally and internationally) and training for numerous organizations. Though he has had a wide range of experiences, much of his work has focused in helping families through therapy. The family is a sacred and special set of relationships that Dr. DeYoung has respected and cared for over his entire career. Dr. DeYoung has completed Level 3 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and utilizes the Gottman Method in his work with couples. Dr. DeYoung's office is in your home. He began seeing families in their living room as a full time private practice in 2003. He sees families all over Northeast Tarrant County including the communities of Fort Worth, Keller, North Richland Hills, Hurst, Colleyville, Euless, Bedford, Arlington, Saginaw, Haslet and many others. Providing In Home Therapy services gives Dr. DeYoung a great chance to help families on their "own turf." He uses Family Systems and Attachment approaches to help with Marriage, Marital Affairs, Depression, Anxiety, Parenting, Adoption, and Foster Care issues. 2. Training and Consultation with educational and social services organizations Dr. Mark DeYoung provides seminars for groups and organizations. He has spoken to family therapy conferences, schools, and churches. He also created the Intended Results system for outcomes collections and analysis to help organizations achieve their goals. |
